Mark T. Sanford, O.D.
Dr. Sanford completed his undergraduate work at Michigan State University before graduating with high distinction from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University. He spent 15 years working for a hospital based HMO including 10 years as Chief of Eye Services for Selectcare. He left that position for private practice in 1995 founding Primary Eye Care Associates in Troy.
Dr. Sanford provides comprehensive pediatric and adult eye care including the treatment and management of eye injuries, infections and diseases. He is certified in the use of both diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals. Dr. Sanford has a particular interest in specialty contact lenses. He serves as a referral source for a number of local cornea surgeons due to his experience with post operative contact lens fitting in addition to lenses for keratoconus. A lifelong resident of Michigan, Dr. Sanford and his wife have three children. When not in the office Dr. Sanford can often be found on the golf course or supporting his beloved Spartans. |
Daniel J. Baumann, O.D.
Dr. Baumann completed his undergraduate work at Alma College where he lettered in football and was president of his fraternity. He received his doctor of optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry at Ferris State University.
Dr. Baumann joined Primary Eye Care Associates in 1995 after a career in HMO based eye services. He is certified in the use of both diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceuticals and has a special interest in pre and post operative cataract and refractive surgery (lasik) care. Dr. Baumann has lived in the metro area for the past 25 years after growing up in central Michigan. He is the proud father of three children and grandfather of three more. He enjoys bike riding, backpacking, fishing and hunting. |
Debbie
Debbie is an optometric technician with over 25 years of experience. She is generally the first friendly face that greets our patients as they enter the office. In addition to helping you fill out the office forms she is available to answer your insurance questions. Debbie's responsibilities also include much of the preliminary testing you will receive prior to your examination by the doctor.

Natalie
Natalie provides Primary Eye Care with 35 years of experience as an optician and also as an ophthalmic assistant, She can be found assisting the doctors with preliminary testing as well as helping patients with proper fitting and functioning eyewear. She was certified by American Board of Opticianry in 1999 and has a BS in biology from Wayne State University.
